More Recording, Less Streaming?

Later this month, I'll be returning to more full-time job I had a year or so ago. Twelve hour shifts and a rotating schedule means I won't necessarily be available every Saturday for Gloomhaven, and any other streaming will be less schedule-able. So, instead, I'll a) work on actually editing old Gloomhaven, and b) record games when we have time, and then put them directly onto YouTube. In the last month, we've played a bit of Pulsar: Lost Colony and For the King, a couple games on Steam. I recorded it, it could be entertaining. Shane and I also spent 13 hours across four days completing Journey to the Savage Planet. It was great, I'm glad I recorded it (although, I wish I had recorded Shane's perspective). So I definitely want to share that.

Next month, barely a month away, we'll also be having our first baby. So, on top of the aforementioned rotating schedule, I'll also have an entirely new and exciting and terrifying responsibility. Mrs Zero Bad Ideas says she can picture me streaming with baby nearby, and that's not entirely unrealistic.

In board game news, I have acquired my dad's ancient copy of Careers, a roll-and-move game from 1965. It's in pretty decent condition, and I remember really enjoying it when I was younger, before I even fully understood the rules. So I'm definitely looking forward to playing that. Dice Throne should arrive later this year, along with the Collector Edition of Apex Theropod, a deck-building game about being the top predator in dinosaur times. It has 8 expansions, including one with cybernetic-enhanced dinos, and one with zombie dinos! Cannot wait. I also found my copy of Risk 2210AD, which you should not be excited about in particular, because it's still just Risk, and we'll probably never play it. But I'm glad to have it back in my collection.

You're probably thinking "How have you not run out of space for games?" And the answer is "I have." I'm actually about to reorganize some areas of the basement and my office to make more room.

Video Games?

So I'm branching out from board game ideas and taking an online video game programming course over the next 9 months. Had to take a C++...
